Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.

Growing enough vegetables to share and why growing your own is worthwhile

One of the pleasures of growing your own food is when you manage to grow enough to give some away to family or friends. The 'feedback' that I get is always positive and it is always includes a comment about how great the taste is.

Even if growing your own food did not save us money, and yes it does that too, it would be worth growing the potatoes, onions, tomatoes, salad and fruit for the improved flavour that it brings to your meals.
