Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.

Seed Catalogues and deciding what you will be planting in 2013.

Looking at Seed Catalogues and Planning Planting.

My first seed catalogue arrived in the post yesterday and it was delightful to look through it and begin to look forward to the next season of growing our own food.

There are lots of useful bits of advice on selecting the best varieties to grow to fit your circumstances and tastes. There are pages of vegetable seeds, seed potato varieties, fruit and even some flowers.

You can find the companies website at www.marshalls-seed.co.uk

The catalogues are useful when working out what are going to enjoy growing and eating in the coming year.
