Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

Warm Weather - rich pickings fruits ripening fast.

Just when time needs to be spent watering, weeding and tending the vegetables planted along come the fruits to harvest. They suddenly need picking faster than I can keep up.

Heavy cropping is always good news, but prepping fruits to freeze for later or cooking up things also takes up valuable time. Right now I am going to pick the next lot, just spent ages sorting yesterdays, getting them ready to freeze them.
