I am surprised how many raspberries we are picking from the autumn fruiting raspberry canes given that the summer has not been that 'sunny'this year. I find that although these canes tend not to look as neat and tidy as the summer fruiting ones they are proving to be more productive and prone to less losses to birds and mildew than the summer fruiting types we grow.
Enough raspberries for us to share this year, which is always nice.

Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
