Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.

Picking Peas as soon as they are ready
The pea plants are doing well. However, with the weather the way it is (lots of rain at times) we decided that picking the peas is best done as soon as the pods are filled. You can tell when the peas inside are big enough to eat or freeze down.
Here is a link to a seed and plant retailer that has a useful page on
how to grow peas.
