Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

What Can You Plant on the Allotment in November?

Planting Seeds in Autumn-Winter.

You can plant broad bean seeds now if you have the right type of soil and conditions. I have to admit that I do not grow broad beans as it is one of the vegetables that we do not enjoy eating. It is a pity as it is one of he few things you can get sowing at this time of year on the vegetable patch.

If you would like to have a go at growing broad beans this page at Thompson & Morgan has some good advice on growing them and to buy the seeds here is a link -

They also have a sale on vegetable seeds if you like to buy early and are willing to store them  -

Thompson & Morgan seed offer prices under a £1 and from 49p.
