Now is a good time to decide what variety of potatoes you would like to grow this year.
Do not leave your decision too long as the most popular varieties sell out first.
Do n't forget that you need to plan where you will be putting the seed potatoes to chit. Keep saving the old egg cartons to put them your potaotes in when you start to chit them.... more on chitting potaotes soon.
Onion sets and shallott sets are also available now... and garlic which is another theing that is easy to grow. However I will not plant while the frost is in the soil/ground.
Window shop your choices even if you are not ready to buy yet.

I do not put ads on my blog but do have a counter that shows me how many visits the pages get. (The stats. count is just there so I can see if I am 'talking' to myself, luckily so far this has not happened.) Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.
