Now is the time to be sowing vegetable seeds some will require starting off indoors but others can be planted straight into the soil of the vegetable patch. Be guided by the instructions on your seed packet, they are thre for a reason and will have been tried and tested to come up with the best possible method of sowing and raising your vegetable plants from seeds.
Some seeds will need to be kept at certain temperatures to germinate others are more hardy to variable conditions. If you are new to raising plants from seed do not under estimate the need to keep them watered - without over watering. Seeds such as peas plamted straight into the ground on an allotment or in a vegetable garden will need protection from birds especially pidgeons who can decimate a crop in a short space of time.
Good luck with your seed sowing and planting - I still have seed potatoes that I need to get in the ground very quickly now.

Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
