I am not buying my seed potatoes just yet, even though they are starting to arrive in some of the local shops. After last year's late start to planting up the seed potatoes because of the ground conditions and the current low temperatures at night here; I am reluctant to purchase my seed potatoes just yet.
I am unable to store the potatoes to chit in anywhere but an unheated shed, so with temperatures as low as they recently have fallen over night I will be delaying the purchase of them for the time being.
helpful information for those starting to grow their own fruit and vegetables with updates on what is happening on our plot throughout the year -

Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.
