First early seed potato - Pentland Javelin. As is one I have grown in the past and enjoyed eating.
Second Early/salad seed potato Charlotte as I find these beautiful on a plate with a fresh salad in the warmer days.
Not yet purchased the main crops and I may yet buy another bag of first earlies - International Kidney is one I enjoy. This is the same variety that is grown as Jersey Royals on the island of Jersey. They have a milder climate there and so get the earliest crop of English potatoes to sell in the markets and shops.
So I will be putting the seed potatoes to chit tomorrow. I have an article on HubPages about how to chit potatoes, I will add a link for it.
I do not put ads on my blog but do have a counter that shows me how many visits the pages get. (The stats. count is just there so I can see if I am 'talking' to myself, luckily so far this has not happened.) By continuing your visit here you are consenting to the stats. counter tracking cookies. Cookies, that sounds like something nice to eat but not that exciting.
Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
