Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.

Planning for planting next year on the vegetable plot.

Now is a good time of year to start planning what you will plant where on your plot. A crop rotation sequence is worth using when working out just what can be planted or sown in different areas of the vegetable plot for the next growing season.

Another thing to look into is what types of potatoes you want to grow next year this will give you a chance to decide which varieties of seed potatoes will best suit your soil type and also the ones that suit the way you want to cook them.
