Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

My Potatoes Are Out of the Ground Now.

The potatoes that I am harvesting at the moment are good to eat but they are smaller than they would have been if there had been more rainfall. If I were to compare them to the ones available in the supermarket my potatoes without a constant supply off water use on them daily, without chemicals to prevent a slightly blemished skin, without a dosing to prevent blight well they are amazingly good as they have grown despite maybe having the odds being stacked against them. The other thing to consider is that I prefer the texture and flavour of the potatoes that I have grown myself.
