The Dilemma of Ordering Plants.
If you like growing things as I do, being able to shop online brings a new dimension to shopping for plants and seeds. But there is one thing I hate about it and that I feel reduces the desire to click the final buy button to complete the purchase. When the postage is added o the garden products I have selected and then t the final stage and the additional cost of postage/delivery is more than I thought it would be.
That is the point when I sometimes, walk away to make a cup of tea. There are times when that added on delivery cost makes me decide to buy locally instead.
I would like to have a postage/delivery 'tally' showing on the websites, alongside the things we place in the virtual shopping basket. Visiting online plant sellers and seed merchants is a pleasure, I just find the delivery cost a bit of a pain and more than I had estimated sometimes.
helpful information for those starting to grow their own fruit and vegetables with updates on what is happening on our plot throughout the year -
I do not put ads on my blog but do have a counter that shows me how many visits the pages get. (The stats. count is just there so I can see if I am 'talking' to myself, luckily so far this has not happened.) By continuing your visit here you are consenting to the stats. counter tracking cookies. Cookies, that sounds like something nice to eat but not that exciting.
Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
