Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables

We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.

We Need a Way to Collect Rain Water.

Watering Cans and Water Butts.

The dry weather this summer has settled things and made us face up to the  fact that we can no longer manage to water the plot, without having a method which is independent from the provided but distant water tap. Energy that should be used on looking after the produce is going into ferrying watering cans of the precious liquid back and forth numerous times when we visit the allotment.

Maybe an Allotment Shed Too.
So I have accepted an offer of a water butt, from someone who does not want it. Now I may have to also get a shed, as how else am I going to capture the rain if we ever get any!
