Home made fruit lollipops
Cook up a selection of berries, with just enough sugar to sweeten.
When the fruit is cooked down to a pulp, let it cool, then push it through a sieve or blend with a stick blender, if you cannot do this miss this stage out and -
pour the fruit mix into lolly moulds and place in the freezer until frozen.
You can also experiment with the idea of making lollies from orange and other fruit juices.
Always take care when giving children lollies from the freezer that they are not so cold that they 'ice burn' the child's tongue, remember that when they are really cold taken straight from the freezer that they can stick painfully to a child's lip or tongue.
Remember that even fruit sugars and the acid in fruits can damage children's teeth so it is best to just use these lollies as an occasional treat.

Growing Your Own Fruit and Vegetables
We grow our own fruit and vegetables for our meals for as much of the year as we can. Without a greenhouse we have to buy shop food in the winter months but in the spring, summer and autumn we often have enough to share with family and friends.
Read about growing your fruit and vegetables here on my growing your own food pages.
